Set up user access

You need to set up company file access for the people you want to work  with your data. To do this, you first set them up with a user ID and  password, and then assign them a role, which determines what areas  of the company file they can work with.  Setting up file users enables you to:

  1. control who accesses to the company file
  2. track transaction record history
  3. set up online access for users (AccountRight Live subscribers).
Before you create users in a new company file, you should set a  password for the Administrator account.

Set a password for the Administrator

When you created your company file, a user called Administrator was  automatically created.  By default, the Administrator user does not have a password assigned.  Anyone who signs on with the Administrator user ID will have access to
all command centres, functions and windows and will be able to create,  edit and delete other user accounts.
