ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of short term and long term debt toward profitability which is measured by return on assets and return on equity. Judgment sampling is used as sample collection technique b using PT. Semen Gresik, tbk as a sample. While, multiple linear regression is used as the data analysis technique where independent variables which consist of short term and long term debt as well as profitability are measured by return on assets and return on equity as dependent variables.
The results of this research show that the short term debt and long term debt variables influence significantly t return on ssets and return on equity. While, short-term debt dominantly influence toward the return on assets and return on equity because of the partial determination of coefficient value is the highest.
