Abstract
This article discusses the internal structure of adjectival phrase in Bahasa Indonesia. The
study of this phrase structure applies X-bar theory as one of the generative syntax
subtheories. The research corpus is gained from the writen resources and analysed by
using distributional method. From the data analysis results it is showed that general
properties of adjectival phrase structure in Bahasa Indonesia basically consist of specifier
+ nucleus + complement + adjunct. The gramatical function has different category.
Specifier has adverb category, complement has prepositional phrase category, and adjunct
has noun and prepositional phrases categories.
